The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM Provides Holistic Workouts for All Ages, Abilities

The GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS Methods are complementary exercise methods. GYROTONIC exercises are performed on custom-designed equipment, and GYROKINESIS exercises are performed on a mat and chair.

With GYROTONIC exercises, each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength, and flexibility.

Here’s the best part: Personalized sessions are adapted for all ages, abilities, and fitness levels.

Work with a Certified Trainer for a Completely Customized Experience

The GYROTONIC method uses specialized equipment to guide, assist, and challenge the exerciser. Sessions are personalized and adapted to your needs. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, a professional athlete, or simply want to improve your overall mobility, you’ll benefit from these classes.

A lifelong dancer with a background in ballet, modern dance and competitive ballroom dancing, Leslie Whitesell discovered the GYROTONIC method in 2008. She thought the additional movement and strength would improve her ballroom dancing technique. Leslie fell in love with the GYROTONIC exercises and earned her certification in 2012.

“I feel better now than I did in my 20s when I was dancing full time,” she says.

It’s why she’s so passionate about introducing others to the GYROTONIC method, a truly holistic approach to movement. Different from exercises like Yoga or Pilates, a regular GYROTONIC practice leads to a healthier, more supple spine, increased range of motion, greater joint stability, improved agility and athletic performance, and a deep internal strength.

As someone with spine issues, this work is pain-free and helps greatly with my mobility. It’s something I can’t imagine living without now that I’ve found it, and Leslie is just the best! The GYROTONIC Expansion System: A Powerful Form of Exercise for Everyone

Juliu Horvath, an ethnic Hungarian and professional dancer from Romania, developed this form of exercise. He suffered a series of debilitating injuries during his dance career and began developing what are now known as the GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS Methods as a way to heal himself and regain his strength and agility.

GYROTONIC exercises are performed on specialized equipment using weights, pulleys, and resistance. The GYROKINESIS exercises are performed on a mat and chair.
